Jose Santos Owner & Operator
Founder of Universal Flight Training, Jose Santos holds a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), Instrument (CFII), Multi-Instructor (MEI) and an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with more than 10,000 hours, with half of those instructing new pilots. Jose graduated from ComAir Academy (Sanford, FL) in 1989.

Randall Monson Chief Flight Instructor
Randall Monson started flying when he took a Discovery Flight at Albert Whitted airport in St. Petersburg, Florida. His passion for aviation began during that first flight and guided him to a career in the airlines. Randall graduated from National Aviation Academy in Clearwater, Florida where he received his Airframe & Powerplant and FCC Radio communications licenses. After completing his Private, Instrument and Commercial ratings for single and multi-engine aircraft, he became a Certified flight Instructor (CFI) and Instrument Instructor (CFII) in 2000. Randall worked at Delta Airlines for over 20 years. He retired from Delta Air lines in 2019 and joined Universal Flight Services where he is continuing with his passion for aviation and enjoys teaching others. His experiences with a major airline provide students with the knowledge and experience to realize their dream flying. Safety, reliability and consistency are the major pillars that Randall learned while working at the airlines and guide all his decisions to ensure an exciting experience for all at Universal Flight services flight training and charter services.
Sherman Bilbo Flight Instructor
Sherman Bilbo started flying in 1972. Since then, he obtained his Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi Engine and Instructor ratings. He instructs students for Sport Plane, Private, Instrument and Commercial ratings. He has over 10,000 hours of flying time. Since discovering his passion for instruction, he has over 8,000 hours of instruction time with over 500 hours in sports planes.Originally from Staten Island NY Sherman has spent most of his life in Florida. Shermans’s focus is on general aviation and the ability to share his vast experiences and knowledge with others.
